Tummy time
Grace is working really hard on her rolling over skills. She has got tummy to back rolls under control. She loves to be on the floor playing with her toys and goofing around.
Busy Season
The month of December is almost over. It as been very busy and full of excitement. I have not been very good about keeping everyone posted on things with the Wray's. Here is a the cliff notes version.
-We had an early Christmas with the Wray's in Raleigh.
-Grace met her great grandmother (Grinny) for the first time.
-We spent Christmas in Norfolk with the Smith's.
-Grace is getting big. She is 24 inches long and weighs 15 lbs. We only know this because she has a cold and had to go to the Doctor right after Christmas.
-We enjoyed spending lots of time with family.
-Grace was baptised today (12/30/07). We will post pictures soon!
Enjoy the pictures. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We hope to see you all in 2008.

Santa lives in P-Town?????
On Saturday the Wray's went to Portsmouth for the day. Very few people know about Santa's little workshop in Old Town, but we were there! We also went to City Park (where we got married) and wandered around some. Grace was cranky and did not really like the swings. We were all ready for nap in the afternoon so Grace and Daddy took a snooze on the couch. What a good day.............

Random things
It is the end of a long weekend and instead of getting ready for work tomorrow I am posting pictures of Grace. Priorities!
I had a great weekend. Thanksgiving, my friend Kim Mayo's babyshower, and four days full of Grace!
Here are couple of recent pictures of the little beast. These days Grace loves her swing, bathtime, sucking her thumb and smiling and talking to Mom and Dad. She hates being hungry, taking naps during the day (she might miss something) and wearing hats.
Thanksgiving
The Smiths celebrated Thanksgiving on Friday since Matthew was at the firestation on the "real" Thanksgiving. We had a huge meal and enjoyed being around our extended family.
Here are a few things I am thankful for:
-My wonderful husband and our amazing daughter
-Matthew and Laura
-Good health
-Being wise enough to know that Thanksgiving is not a day but a way to live my life...because it is easy to get caught up and forget about the little things that make me happy
P.S Grace enjoyed being in the mix of the celebration. She had such a good time and was wiped out when we came home.

Grace goes to "school"
Last week was a major adjustment for the whole family. Sarah went back to work and Grace went to "school". This is what we call it to combat Mommy Guilt. (Kids have to go to school, right?!) Despite some tears on Monday everyone seemed to be okay. The picture of Grace sums up our feelings about getting up at 5:45 and leaving at 7:15 am.
Unfortunately, Grace caught a cold during her first week. All weekend she has been sneezing, stuffed up and spitting up her formula . She went to see Dr McPhee today who reported nothing major is wrong with her. We are a bit frustrated that she got sick right off the bat. We are supposed to get her a humidifier. Looks like we are of to Walmart again!

Daddy's lil ghoul
We are really fired up about the idea of dressing Grace up in costumes. Last night we went to a halloween party at the YMCA. She arrived in her special halloween onesie (thanks Kyle and Emily) and eventually changed into her costume. Grace slept through the entire night...DJ and screaming children and all. She didn't even get a chance to hear everyone tell her out cute she looked. Oh well...there will be plenty more chances for that!

Go Stillers
Dave tried to get Grace into the spirit. She was all decked out in her Steelers onesie and bib and was ready to crack open an Iron City......but all she wanted to do was cry!
Is it because she lives in Redskins territory, because underage drinking is wrong, or because she secretly hates football? We may never know.
She was finally able to get in the spirit for a few minutes.....here are the pictures to prove it.

Three generations
Family photos
The Wray's meet Grace
This was a special weekend for Grace. She finally got to meet her Grandma and Grandpa Wray. Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Scott also came to Norfolk. They spent time getting to know each other. As some of you know, Mom and Dad Wray and Jennifer used to live in Arizona. They recently sold their homes and moved to the east coast so they could be closer to their only grandchild/neice. They are in the process of buying a house in North Carolina. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again during the holidays. Hopefully, Grace will get to meet great grandma Grinny at Christmas. Here are some pictures of the Wray's spending some quality time together.
p.s- Sorry some of the pictures are not rotated...either I am too dumb or too tired to figure out how to turn them around

Firsts
This has been a busy weekend for Grace. She went to her first birthday party. Her cousin, Leslie, turned 17 on Friday. Grace slept thru most of the party...even when she was covered in fake creepy crawlies. (Don't ask!)
Tonight was the first night that mom and dad went out without Grace. We enjoyed seeing David Sedaris at Chrysler Hall. Grace stayed with Aunt Laura and Uncle Matthew. It appears that everyone had a good time.
Grace is getting bigger by the day. Today she likes when mom drives fast and cuddling with Aunt Laura. Today she hates when you try to change her clothes and gas.
