Sweets Part 2

Grace had a lollipop for the first time. Needless to say, she was in heaven. We even had to call her buddy Emily (another sugar junkie) to tell her all about it. Grace didnt' want to talk because that would involve taking the lollipop out of her mouth.

A walk by the river

Grace loves going for walks and likes looking at the water.

Sweets

Grace loved her cake so much we took about a billion pictures.

Birthday Bash

Grace is ONE!
She had a great first birthay party. She was surrounded by family and some pals from school and the neighborhood. She had fun playing with her new toys. Our favorite part was watching her devour her cake. She jumped right in.....we finally had to take it away after she ate about 2 pounds of icing. (Which she puked up in the middle of the night and promptly rolled over to go back to sleep...so Dave had to find her covered the next morning. I thought we had a few more years before we had to worry about birthdays ending in vomit).
Overall, a good time was had by all.

Thanks Uncle Scott

Uncle Scott is at Calvary Camp for the summer. Grace just wanted to give him a shout out and say thanks for the shirt and the Ugly Doll.

Too much

Two months without a post is way too long. I know....but I have been busy. And lazy. Not too lazy to read other people's blogs. I know all about baby Lydia, Chloe and the Smith girls. I guess it is only fair to try to update you as best I can.
I dont' even know where to start.
-We moved to P-Town. Grace has much more space to play.
-So much more that she decided to start walking on Sunday. She is obsessed with trying to stroll around the place.
-We have had a visit with Grandma and Granddaddy Wray. They got to see the new place. I think we will get to see them again soon.
-Grace has 4 teeth. She is quite the chewer and eats anything we give her.

Everyone is healthy and happy.

The Wray's visit for the weekend

Grandma, Aunt Jennifer, and Uncle Scott came from NC to visit Grace. Everyone had a good time. Grace is getting big and spent a majority of the weekend proving how independent she is......
She was able to make herself available for a few photos. Enjoy.

Teaching tolerance

There are plenty of things to talk about tonight. We have had a big weekend. But, it is time to get back to the basics. Grace got a new pair of pajamas. They are very cute. She wears them proudly and we know it is because she loves everyone. Even crazy, old, stuffy republicans.
Check back soon for more info about our fun filled weekend.

Beach bums

Today was one of the first good days to hang out on the beach. We were busy for most of the day but managed to make a little time to get Grace into the sand. Last week she hated the feeling of her toes in the sand. Today was a whole different story. She is an official beach baby. She loved crawing in the sand and even liked it when Dave dipped her toes in the water.

Big Girl

Its been a while since I posted. Grace is becoming quite the big girl. She is pulling up on things and crawling. These pictures were taken one morning last week. She was just hanging out before we left for work/school.

Easter

I am a little late getting up our Easter post. Here it is. We went to Raleigh for Easter weekend. We had a great time. Grace and the dogs love being at the Wray's. The Easter bunny managed to find Grace in North Carolina. She also got her first tooth!
Momma and Daddy had a good time too. We had a great Easter dinner and got to see Uncle Scott's play at the Little Theater of Raleigh.

Grace loves the McPhees

Caroline came to town from Maine last weekend. She is one friend from high school/college that I can't bear to part with.....
Grace finally got to meet Caroline (and her mom!). Of course, we all know that she already loves Dr. McPhee. So when Caroline's parents offered to babysit while we went out to lallygag over a cup of coffee, I knew Grace would be in good hands. It was awesome to catch up with Caroline. It makes me wish she lived closer. It seems that Grace enjoyed her playdate with Caroline's mom and dad. She even seemed to be happy when she was "reading" some sort of financial magazine with her new favorite babysitter.

Thanks Christy!

My friend Christy is superdooper. Not only has she been a great friend for about 10 years, but she has a job that allows us to try out all kinds of cool kids stuff. A couple of weeks ago we had lunch together while I was in Richmond and she HOOKED US UP with stuff for Grace. We have had a good time goofing around with all of the new gear.
Here are some photos of Grace checking out her stuff.

February

I have to admit that I have not done a great job keeping the blog updated. So here goes.....
Grace is very busy these days. She enjoyed her first Valentine's day. The Wray's sent Valentine's Day cards and Grace really enjoyed looking at them. She likes playing in her excersaucer. Tonight, she sat by herself for the first time (at least for any length of time). Of course we grabbed the camera and took plenty of pictures. Enjoy!
