Happy Day

Grace is so happy. Almost all of the time. It amazes me how easy going and happy she seems. She smiles every chance she gets. She is sort of in a rut....she can't sit up by herself yet...so she moves from the floor, to her bumbo and then to her swing. But most of the time, she smiles through it all........

Grace meets Christy

Last weekend Grace and I met my long lost friend Christy in Williamsburg. Well, Christy hasn't really been long lost. I always know where to find her. She is one of those friends that we all love to have around. The kind where you might not see each other for a couple of years, but when you do catch up, you fall into the rhythm of a true friendship. Lots have things have happened since we worked at the Children's Museum and backpacked around Europe. Christy just got married. Grace arrived. But some things never change.
Christy is a baby person, so he couldn't keep her paws of Gracie. Somehow, I was so busy talking that I never got around to snapping any photos. Christy, on the other hand, is a dedicated photographer. So here is the one photo of our morning spent sipping coffee and chatting.

Eating and eating more

Grace is getting very big. She has started to eat 6-8 ounces every 3-4 hours. In the morning, she likes to eat some oatmeal to start day off. At night she likes to have some veggies.
Here are some pictures of her at mealtimes. She likes to get messy and then the dogs won't leave her alone.

Baptism

Grace was baptised on December 30, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. She was one of four children baptised that day. She was on her best behavior and was beautiful in her christening gown. It is the same one that I wore (along with my brothers). All of my nieces wore it too! It was wonderful to have almost everyone in one place to see Grace be introduced into her new Christian family.
